We Care for the Caregivers

After her mother’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and her family’s subsequent caregiving challenges, Emmy winner and New York Times bestselling author, Leeza Gibbons founded the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation in 2002 as a promise to her mother to “tell her mom’s story and make it count.”

Leeza’s Place, the original initiative of the foundation, opened in 2003 providing support programs to family caregivers in locations across the country. After a decade of working with families at Leeza’s Place, we changed our name to Leeza’s Care Connection, providing us with a name to communicate our message of connecting caregivers to resources, to support, and to each other.

As we approach our 20th anniversary, Leeza’s Care Connection remains a community gathering place for all types of care partners. We help families cope with chronic illness through tips, techniques, and strategies. It is a place to go to ask questions, get answers, find resources, and get support.
